Education

- PhD candidate. March 2006 - Present. Macquarie University.
- BSc (Hons) in Biology. 2003. Department of Biological Sciences, Macquarie University

Current Research

I commenced my PhD project in March 2006 under the supervision of Dr Luciano Beheregary, Dr. Dean Gilligan and Prof. David Briscoe. I am working on the phylogeography, conservation genetics and management of Australian Bass and Estuary Perch in Southeastern Australia. Other interests include: molecular ecology, conservation genetics and evolution.

Previous Research

- The Recovery and Characterisation of Integrons from Environmental Bacteria. Research conducted for honours (with M. Gillings).
- The Phenoloxidase Cascade in Tunicates. Research conducted for honous (with D. Raftos).
- Population Substructure, Gene Flow and Mating Systems in Natural (with A. Stow, D. Briscoe and A. Beattie).
- Sperm Competition in the Cannibalistic Orb Web Spider (with M. Herbestein and K. Robinson).
- Antimicrobial Activity of Sea Urchin Coelomic Fluid (with D. Raftos).
