Research The research in this lab, run by Dr Michelle Leishman, focuses on exotic invasive plants. We use a variety of comparative and experimental approaches to develop an understanding of how exotic plants invade, why some areas are susceptible to invasion and how invaded areas can be restored to native vegetation. Our research includes physiological, plant survival, seed bank, seed size, leaf trait, disturbance, soil nutrient, bioclimatic modeling and meta-analysis studies. |
