In addition to these scholarships, most of our post-graduate students teach as tutors in our undergraduate units, thereby supplementing their income and gaining valuable teaching experience.Funds to support research and for overseas linkageThe Division of Environmental Life Sciences supports postgraduate research with $5000 per full time research year (for at least 3 years). These funds are typically used to support research costs such as field or laboratory expenses but can also be used for conference visits.Additionally, all post-graduate students can apply once during their candidature for the Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund, which supports conference visits and similar activities that enhance the research thesis.
